Please consider signing up as a driver. The Island is big and pets can’t get where they are going without a little help from friends.
Rehab Specialty foster homes are always hard to come by. Many of our animals need help from trainers, groomers, rehabilitators and other professionals. Please consider donating some time to help those who cannot help themselves. Donors are the back bone of the rescue world, for those who cannot provide hands on care please consider a monetary donation, we cannot help them without your support.
Rehome After all the time, effort, and tears the end goal is to find people who will love them as much as we do. Please consider adopting a rescue! Not ready to adopt? Getting the word out and sharing the animals on social media is how they find homes. Please share and spread the word, a little goes a long way.operate.
Fostering can be as short as just a weekend substitute or as long as it takes to get adopted. We have experienced fosters who can manage major behaviour issues and new fosters who with no experience who we start off slowly. For cats and kittens they require a spare room as household cats are not usually excited to have strange cats invade their home and the fosters will need some quiet time to settle in. Puppies require someone to be able to give them potty breaks every few hours as they are unable to hold their bladders for long periods of time. All supplies are included and the animals are given vet care before adoption. We do have an application to be filled out so we can set you up with the best possible fit and we do home visits so we have an opportunity to meet your family. What if you fall in love? We always check in with our foster homes to see if they ant to make their temporary pet a permanent one. As long as the pet is a good fit for your household, fosters to get can request to adopt.
